Have you ever wanted more out of life but had no idea where to start? Or maybe wanted a fuller, richer life but lacked time to go and check off some of the things from your bucket list? Or haven't had enough time to go on that big adventure you always dreamed off?
Well, fuck bucket list, life enriching theories and preplanned adventures! Yes! FUCK those! While you wait to have enough time, money and proverbial balls to do something fun, you will die of old age! Just remember that lesson from UP
Life is an adventure and there is no way to regain the time we so happily waste doing nothing and complaining how bored we are. WTF!
I spent a lot of my time and energy looking for ways to improve my life, learn new skills and raise the quality of my days in general. I'm constantly experimenting on myself to see what works and what is crap, in order to shape my life into the best version of it for given period. And I consider that time well spent!
But I felt the need to play and go on an adventure while at the same time needing safety of routine and calm, and I was a bit torn... Both paths offered different kind of self improvement, equally appealing to me.
I found the solution to my problem when I discovered 100 Days of new things challenge. It is a way to turn each day into an adventure, learn new skills and to have new experiences bit by bit.
Here how it goes:
Each day pick a new thing to try or do and do that consistently for 100 days. Simple!
Pick small things that are easy to do: Try new apps, food, drinks, games, interactions, activities... If you like it, continue doing/using/eating/drinking that, or if you don't like it; well, at least you tried something new!
Each day post a photo of that new thing you chose with a short review and a hashtag #100daysofnewthings #day(day 1-100) on your favorite social network (I have chosen IG)
Connect with others, ask for ideas!
I asked my friends and my Facebook friends for ideas and got tones of super interesting suggestions! Now I'm asking you! Leave me a comment
So far I tried: 3 new cocktails, bullet journaling, minimalist makeup, spending a day with no technology, painting a religious painting outside of my religion, and podcasts. In short amount of time I learned a lot and made my life a bit more adventurous!
